^{Purpose of examination: It is mainly used to exclude the causes of secondary hypertension, such as primary aldosteronism, pheochromocytoma, renal artery stenosis and Cushing's syndrome.} 

^{Suitable population for examination: The suitable population is young and middle-aged, patients with moderate or severe hypertension, and patients with refractory hypertension.} 

^{Aldosterone: is a steroid hormone that is part of the renin-angiotensin system. Mainly acts on the kidneys, promotes the reabsorption of ions and water molecules by the kidneys, and the adrenal cortex secretes excessive aldosterone in primary aldosteronism. The main clinical manifestations are hypertension with hypokalemia.}
